The launch sugar rush (sweet goodies inside)
On borrowed trust, the expectations vs. reality gap, and the right way to launch in 2026. my friend Ron is teaching live.
The last thing you want to do in 2026 is begin a relationship with new clients on borrowed trust.
Even if you’re new to launches, a quick google will show you the conversation has already shifted and the old scarcity playbook isn’t just losing effectiveness - it was never quite right to begin with.
It never fully made sense to me either. Push urgency through the launch, spike the emotional high, close the sale - and then watch that same high drop the moment someone actually joins.
It’s the coaching equivalent of a sugar rush and an inevitable crash soon after.
The energy comes fast and leaves the same way, and what’s left on the other side is the gap between what people felt when they bought and what they actually find when they arrive.
In retention work, this has a name: the expectation vs. reality gap, and it’s one of the fastest ways to start a client relationship on the wrong foot.
Even though I spend most of my time in the “after they say yes” part of the customer journey, I still consider launching (when done right) a core part of running an online business.
So when I see someone doing it right, and that someone is a person I trust, I’ll share it without hesitation.
Ron Reich has been one of those people for a long time. He was an early mentor when I needed to uplevel the launch side of my business, and one of the sharpest strategists I know on why people actually say yes.
What Ron’s been building, and what he calls the Oxytocin Economy, is the antidote to the outdated dopamine-driven way.
That’s why he’s focused on the “other hormone” - the one behind genuine connection, trust and the feeling that buying from someone is just the obvious next step.
He’s seen that the coaches doing the best numbers right now have figured out how to trigger that at scale. Not through better funnels or bigger ad budgets, but through a different read on what a launch is supposed to do in the first place.
Ron is teaching the full system on Tuesday (May 12th) in a free live training.
If launching is part of your business, or you’re planning to make it one, this is worth your Tuesday afternoon - click here and sign up.
And if a live training isn’t where you are right now, Ron also put the same thinking into a free written report. The Great Coaching Reset walks through the #1 strategy the top coaches are using to own their niches in 2026, without chasing the latest shiny object.
Pick one (or both), take a peek behind the scenes and uplevel your sugar-free strategy before the next launch.
